Let's Get Started

Depending on the details, I could have a site ready for within seven days or shorter.  Here's the steps to get started:

  1. Email me for quote.  My minimum is $500 for a basic Joomla, Wordpress or Concrete5 website.  Basic means, minimal changes in the templates and styles of the site. No more than 5 pages and no photo galleries (or very small ones).  You can google WordPress, Joomla and Concrete5 to find thousands of template ideas.  Many are free, some you pay for.
  2. Buy your webspace.  I recommend Bluehost.com.  If you click the Bluehost ad on this site, I get a credit for it.  But that's not why I recommend them.  They are the best hosting company that I've worked with and I've tried quite a few.  I'll need to this work on and even if you decide not to work with me, you'll need this for your site.
  3. I ask for $100 non-refundable deposit up front which is your confirmation that you agree to my quote.  From there I will produce your website in your webspace.  You'll need to send me your hi resolution logo and graphics you want on the site as well as the login to your webspace which you will get from Bluehost or who ever you decide to go with.  If you're not going to use Bluehost, be sure that the hosting provider uses the most up to date PHP language and MySQL.
  4. When I get to the point where the structure of the site is complete, with very little of your own actual information, I'll ask you to view it and approve it (or not).  I will make up to 3 changes to the structure and/or style.  Once you approve for me to continue, I will ask for 1/2 of the balance of the quote.  For instance, if the quote is $500, and you've paid me $100 deposit, at this point I will need another $200 to continue.
  5. The point the I am finished, is the point where YOU can take over uploading your own content.  I will provide you with training notes or if you are close enough to me, I'll come to your house for one-on-one training.  At this point, I will require the balance of the quote (In the example, another $200).
  6. If you would like me to upload ALL your content and/or be you further with the site, my hourly rate is $25.
